BRENT L. BECKETT

Insight on a true Idea Man!

Within the first few minutes of sitting with Brent Beckett it becomes clear he is an explosion of creative energy. His foot taps and his ‘wheels turn.’

Beckett has more than 15 years of post-college experience in marketing and creating ideas. It would be a life-time if you tracked his entrepreneurial efforts into his child-hood. He is a born creative thinker and entrepreneur with a pure knack for thinking of and developing original ideas.

He has been referred to as a ‘mad-scientist’ of creative thinking, a ‘hot-fired furnace of creative energy’, a ‘type-writer brain,’ a person of ‘imaginative intelligence,’ and as a ‘proven smart, savvy entrepreneur.’

Beckett is a journalist, author, college-level-educator, inventor, promoter, strategist and business man. His combination of experience, skill,  natural ability, understanding of business and unlimited supply of
creative thinking continuously proves successful within
his own company, ‘Slim Famous’ and within the
companies of others.

He has proven he is able to turn nothing into something and convert the elements of experience, knowledge and imagination into inventive work. People who know Brent, say his appetite for creative thinking is ‘huge.’ He says, it is primarily a matter of ‘steering away from traditional ways of thinking and developing new ways.’ In many ways it is Brent’s vision that is his product.

There are bins, shelves and folders in his office that are filled with original ideas. Ideas he says he will just ‘give away’ to anyone who will make good of them. Beckett has proven he is not a ‘one-hit wonder’ of creative ideas. ‘I never stop thinking.’ -‘Never.’ he says. ‘I have ideas running through my head constantly.’ ‘Most things I do turn into trying to revolutionize the way it is done.’

His experience includes being published in a variety of creative writing and poetry journals, editorial magazines including ‘Premier’, ‘USAA', and ‘Portfolio’ and in travel trade-journals; involvement with companies such as L.L. Bean, Eddie Bauer, Eastern Mountain Sports, Power Bar, Land’s End, Gore-Tex, Bole’ sunglasses, Timberland, Stonewall Kitchen, Harley Davidson, Nature Valley, ‘Outside’, ‘Runner’s World,’ and ‘Backpacker’ magazines; promotion of performers such as Bruce Hornsby, Harry Belafonte’, David Grisman, Poncho Sanchez, Eartha Kitt, Joshua Redman and Marcel Marceau; brand development for financial institutions such as South-West Bank of Texas, Fleet and H.R. Block, Heinemann Publishing and First Steps Literacy products; and the independent development of innovative and original products such as ‘A Tree Story,’ ‘Ruff Tools,’ and ‘Think What You Want.’

Beckett’s accomplishments have been featured in ‘The Boston Globe’, ‘The Portsmouth Herald, ‘Foster’s Daily Democrat’, ‘York County Coast-Star’, ‘Pet Care’, ‘WMUR TV News’ and ‘Chronicle Television’.

His original products sell in all 50 states, all Canadian Provinces, the Carribean on Amazon.com and in countless stores and boutiques.

Brent’s philosophy and approach to helping others develop their business ideas and services is to provide leadership through guidance. His instincts for nurturing creativity and motivation in others is why people continue to ask for his help in achieving their business goals.
